Templates and guides are researched from primary sources: state statutes, court rules, official state forms, and regulatory guidance. Secondary commentary is used for context, never as the sole basis for a requirement stated on this site.
Drafting with editorial review
Content is drafted by our editorial team using professional drafting tools, including AI-assisted drafting, and is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Nothing is published straight from a generator without review.
State-specific checks
Documents that vary by state are checked against that state's execution requirements, such as witnessing, notarization, and filing formalities, before the state-specific version is published.
Updates and revision dates
Each template and guide displays its last-updated date. When we learn that a statute or rule referenced on a page has changed, the page is corrected and its date refreshed.
